Design Concept / 制作意図

中大規模木造建築物を扱う専門書として、信頼感と落ち着きを感じられるデザインを意識しました。
ビジュアルには、木造建築の構造美とスケール感が伝わる、ダイナミックな建築写真をセレクト。
写真の曲線や木の質感を生かしながら、落ち着いた色調と明朝体を組み合わせることで、専門書としての信頼感を表現しています。
タイトルや著者名などの文字要素はセンターを基準に配置し、写真の動きに対して安定感のある構成としました。
建築写真の持つ力強さと、専門書としての端正さがバランスよく共存するブックデザインを心がけています。

Design Concept

The cover was designed to convey reliability and composure for a professional book on the durability and maintenance of large- and medium-scale timber buildings.
A dynamic architectural photograph highlights the structural beauty, scale, and material qualities of timber construction.
Centered typography and a restrained color palette provide visual stability, balancing the movement and impact of the architectural image.
The overall design combines the strength of the photography with the clarity and credibility expected of a professional technical publication.
